Celebration of the Silesian Voivodeship 2010 — Candy Dulfer

The culmination of the Celebration of the Silesian Voivodeship 2010 was a concert of a phenomenal, talented, accomplished saxophone player Candy Dufler. 

Candy Dulfer recorded albums and performed with the most distinguished musicians, including: Prince, Maceo Parker, Dave Stewart (Eurythmics), Van Morrison, Lionel RichieMavis Staples, Beyoncé, Pink Floyd, Chaka Khan, Aretha Franklin, Blondie, Marcus MillerJimmy Cliff, Jools Holland, Jamie Cullum, Angie Stone.

Undeniably, the most famous record of the artist is Lily was here — a result of a collaboration with the guitar player and vocalist of Eurythmics, Dave Stewart. This track from a soundtrack of German movie De Kassiere conquered all European and American music charts. Since then, the career of this beautiful Dutchwoman, equipped with a saxophone, developed spectacularly, maintaining her position on the world music stage. Candy was honored many prestigious awards, all her albums were bestsellers, and in time she was hailed the most outstanding Dutch jazz artist.

Her latest album, released by Heads Up in 2007 was well received by the audience and the critics. The artist describes her album as follows:

„Every song is a tiny piece of my life, as well as a part of what I feel and experience each day. It’s what I am. That’s why I called my album Candy Store. People can pick something for themselves, listen and enjoy it.”
